The Artis SE from Kurzweil is an 88-key digital stage piano featuring the company's expressive German 9' Grand Piano sound, matched with a weighted Fatar TP-100 hammer action and velocity sensitive keyboard. Other sounds include multiple selections from the PC3K and KORE 64 collections, among them vintage electric pianos, clavinets, synthesizers, string sections and orchestras, guitars, percussion, and more. The keyboard can be mapped out with up to four zones and split and layered.
The unit powers up in multi mode, ready for a performance using the 128 factory multi patches or any of the 256 user set ups. Front-panel sliders offer control over the effects, along with dedicated controls for adjusting the 3-band master EQ. Other controls include dedicated transpose switches. Six favorite sounds can be bookmarked and accessed using a single button press. MIDI over USB is available in addition to the dedicated MIDI In/Out connectors and loading and saving user settings can be done via USB or a flash drive.
